I've helped new beginner students start their flute exploration with the correct embouchure, posture, and technique right from the beginning. I've worked with students who have been on their own for a while, helping to correct any bad habits that had snuck in. I've helped students reinforce the technical basics of scales, daily exercises, breathing, and long tones so that their music soars. As I have only taught flute to my granddaughter and helped my daughter with violin previously my rates are very reasonable. However my father was a music teacher who attended the New England conservatory of music and I learned a great deal from him. I like for each of my students to move at their own pace, and if it takes you longer to learn something than it does your friends, so what? You both learned it, which is what's important.
