My teaching experience started in 1976 when my teacher had passed away and I inherited his students teaching at Major music school in Irvington New Jersey teaching saxophone clarinet and flute I remain there for approximately 20 years When i relocated to central New Jersey where I was a teacher in the Franklin Township Edison South Brunswick and North Brunswick school system also doing private studio teaching And teaching at students homes and was also offering bassoon an oboe to my students I generally use if the student is in a school program what they are using working on their band music and then supplementing their lessons with appropriate solo material and technical material and I’m able to teach everything from jazz improvisation to orchestral playing and beginning to intermediate Oboe With my extensive performance and teaching experience I welcome the opportunity to expand to new students Read More

I have a basic set of books to work through that help with tone development and technique, but my main focus is helping the student develop the sound they want and discover what style of music is best for them. I use the following method books, depending on the age and ability of the student: Alfred, Bastian and John Thompson. For younger students (under eight years old) I usually use the Alfred all in one book.. for older children, I use the Bastian set of four books: piano performance, technic and theory. For adults and teenagers, I use the Alfred all in one adult method book. For gifted students, I use the John Thompson book (the one I learned from). Read More

I'm very passionate about teaching and love to work with all ages of students. I had a studio in Mountain Top, PA for 25 years until our family moved to Utah. I recently relocated to the Lehigh Valley. I've performed with many orchestras and have coached many students to be able to compete and perform at Carnegie Hall for many years. I have used these books in my development and am very comfortable and confident with their ability to help studnets progress.
