Beginning students for woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone) usually start with the Essential Elements book. As they advance the next books are usually Breeze Easy book 2 followed by the Rubank Intermediate and Advanced Methods. Advanced students will break into instrument specific methods. Flute with use methods such as The Melodious Studies and Pares scales books, clarinets with use the Klose books and Saxophone students will use Ferling and Klose studies. I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Arizona State University in 2019 where I studied with Dr. Christopher Creviston, world-renowned soloist and soprano saxophone chair of the Capitol Quartet. Throughout my collegiate studies, I performed with a variety of groups at ASU including the Jazz Repertory Band, the Wind Ensemble, and the Virtus Quartet, in addition to performing with Breakthrough Indoor at the 2016 WGI World Championships and with the ASU Saxophone Choir at the 2020 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference. I teach because I love to share the knowledge that I have obtained through my personal experiences and apply them to my students. Nothing is better than seeing my students improve on a weekly basis! I am patient, fun, and motivating towards my students. I respect that everyone learns at their own pace.
