I played music all my life. I began to play the flute at the age of 9 years old and the piano at around 12. I graduated from Washington Adventist University with a degree in music performance. I have performed with the New England Symphonic Ensemble in various countries all over the world including England, Thailand, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Jamaica, Caymen Islands and South Africa. I like using flashcards, so students can quickly develop their site-reading. I use different techniques that meet the individual capacity of the students and adults. For intermediate and advanced students I prefer scales, etudes (exercises), sonatas, concertos and solo pieces of their preference. I like to play duets with my students and that is usually their favorite part as we can combine talents to play something beautiful. I hold degrees in flute performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and have performed and taught extensively in the Cleveland and western New York areas. I also have a special interest in music theory and music history, having earned Early Music Performer's Certificates through the joint music program with Case Western Reserve University and tutored music theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
