Therefore, it is extremely important that we set realistic goals for each of their own. Accomplishments help the students and makes them eager to learn more. I believe each student is different and because of that every student needs to be taught differently and at their own pace. Learning a new skill can be frustrating and because of that my goal is to acknowledge accomplishments, and to give students more creative freedom as their skills on the instrument grow. I believe it is this formula that pushes students into practicing. For age 0-4, I have opened Zumbini program for those babies and their caregivers. My piano lessons start at age 4. For those beginner students, I use Piano Adventures from Faber and Faber, typically focused on lesson books, performance books and theory books. When students move on to the higher levels, I will start to introduce easy classical repertoire, such as J.S. Bach or Bergermuller. If students have specific interests or preferred genre, I will encourage to explore them and help them along the way. Read More
