I was particularly interested when I began to study privately during high school and it was at this time that I began to compete and participated in the All County Band in Dade County. When I first meet a student, I like evaluate their current skill level and based on that, I will have an idea of which direction to guide them. I will learn their intentions of what their goals are short term and long term so we can work together to prepare for what is to come. We will study fundamentals, solo repitore, scales, basic theory and contemporary technique. I will also work with helping the student to choose an upgrade flute if they feel they are ready. Read More
