In 2014, I graduated from Academy of Music Ljubljana (Slovenia) with a Masters degree of Musical Arts in Flute Performance. I had an opportunity to perform as a solist, chamber group member and as a member of Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra around Europe. I use flash cards for the students to learn the notes and and what the different types of notes and rests look like. If my students don't understand something or feel like they're in over their head, I don't rush them to figure it out. Backtracking is always seen as a positive thing.
