I am a dedicated and passionate musician who loves spreading the knowledge of music to students of all ages. I have been playing guitar for twelve years and got my bachelors degree in music at Dominican University of California. Over these years, I have studied various styles of music such as rock, metal, prog, jazz, blues, and classical. I have harnessed numerous techniques and concepts over the years that I hope to share with all of my students. Read More

I believe in encouragement, fun and positive focus on the students progress at whatever speed that they progress. This makes each student look forward to each lesson with eagerness and actually accelerates their progress. I never push a student and instead encourage and edify the student and try to use their own favorite pieces of music to keep them excited about their next lesson. Acknowledging small progress is the key and I never let a student leave without celebrating their accomplishments no matter how small! Read More

I believe encouragement is the best way to help a student succeed. I believe music lessons should be enjoyable and try to make them fun. But even though we have fun, we still have to play the best we can and get the work done. I try to inspire my students to enjoy music, not force them. I believe music should be fun and engaging and not just "work" or a "Requirement". Read More

My approach at my studio is designed to allow students the opportunity to jam and learn. Making music can and should be as fun as learning to speak for the first time. Read More

My experience mostly stems from what I have learned through playing music for as long as I have been. I was able to learn all the steps to continue motivating my passion for guitar such as practicing frequently and consistently, gaining a large repertoire, and training my own ear to know where I am at all times when playing. I also gained much experience working at Guitar Center Lessons for a year. Read More

My teaching method for complete beginners is to take examples from method books such as the Aaron Shearer method book, and apply it so that the student can become accustomed to using their fingers to pluck and frets strings. After they get a sense of how to use their hands on the instrument, I would automatically start teaching pieces. I believe that pieces are the most practical way to learn an instrument because first, playing pieces is the goal that we want to achieve in the first place and second, I believe that all of the techniques that are needed when playing an instrument are all included in pieces.
