My teaching experiences started shortly after I started playing. My younger brother, Joe. wanted to learn to play so I taught him basic chords as well as how to play rudimentary bass guitar. He stayed with bass for a year or so then went totally to guitar, eventually becoming a touring musician for several years, owned a music store and recorded with Christopher Cross, Molly Hatchett, Irons in the Fire and others. I have a love and passion for music and I am equally passionate about passing on all of the knowledge I have gained over my years to the students I get to work with. In 2013, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Electric Bass Performance. At Berklee, I was mentored by some of the most amazing musicians in the world and I am delighted to get opportunities to mentor others like I was while in school. Read More

There is nothing more rewarding for me than the "lightbulb" moments. To see a student light up with excitement over the satisfaction of knowing he or she has been able to achieve or conquer a concept or a piece of music is so awesome for me. I love helping students travel the process of going from point A to Z. I love the challenge of inspiring students through the difficult times when it would be easier to just give up and quit. I use the "CAGED" system on guitar as a way to navigate the fretboard and understand the patterns on Guitar. I always put a strong emphasis on being able to learn a song by ear and understand the theory behind it. For younger children I use the Hal Leonard Method book to give them the ability to read Music. I teach all styles and advanced lessons including Ear training, Theory, Chord Building, Modes, Scales, and Technique. Read More

I believe in having fun while learning, and building my lessons around what the students are interested in when teaching the fundamentals of playing. I have been professionally performing since 2008, from major venues to private events. I have learned not only the ins and outs of playing a guitar, but also how to really bring a song to life and connect with an audience. Read More
