For very beginners, I will typically start with a basic method book, such as Hal Leonard to learn the essentials of basic technique. For adults or students with more experience, I will cater my lessons specifically to each students interests and goals as I find that this is the best way to keep students engaged and excited to learn. However, each student is not the same, and it is important to help a student find their natural voice and work from there. A huge part of becoming a better singer has to do with building confidence.
