I'm a lifelong musician, songwriter, and performer, and my primary goal is to share the joy of music with the world in whatever way it'll let me. I've been performing and writing for bands since 2009, and it hasn't disappointed me once. Currently I'm on the tail end of my BA at Boston's Berklee College of Music, where I've been studying music business, composition, and theory since 2016. When I'm not working or studying, you'll find me touring the country and writing songs with my band, Kayak Jones. Read More

During this time, I've operated my own private guitar instruction studio while also performing and recording. I love nothing more than seeing my students succeed! Read More

That along with pentatonic scales will really help to develope finger dexterity and get the student adjusted to proper hand and finger positioning on the guitar. During that same period we will practice strumming patterns and exercises to fully bring the use of both hands up to a level that allows us to play simple songs. Read More

I started playing guitar when I was 13. My parents couldn't afford lessons so I had to teach myself how to play. It wasn't a train wreck, but it wasn't pretty either! After a few years of trial and error I finally had my first guitar lesson and realized I was doing everything wrong! After that, I trained hard, unlearned many bad habits, and became a more complete guitar player. I also found out how much I loved music and wanted to make it my career! Read More

I think my job as a teacher is to help my students find ways to make their day better through music. Music is a language. And in any language, the right words can make anybody smile! With the overwhelming amount of music that the world has to offer; becoming fluent can become a daunting task. By helping students reach realistic goals, exposing them to music they otherwise wouldn't discover, and encouraging them to find ways to practice that they enjoy; Read More
