I have taught siblings in a class type setting. I have taught preschoolers at preschool. I have taught Little Mozarts to little ones. I use music in the homes already, sometimes I provide things from the 50s that my aunt and uncle scribbled in: leila Fletcher, Edna Mae Burnam, classical composers-mozart, debussy, chopan, clementi, beethoven, bach. I want my students to enjoy playing the piano. There can be many times when piano teachers assign a student a piece without getting the input of the student. I feel that it is important to follow the method books, but also to allow the students to play a piece of their choosing that will encourage them to continue to play the piano.
