I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love for music. In 2017 I graduated with my BA in Music with an emphasis on Tuba from Texas State University. In 2018 I started my graduate work in Jazz Studies at Texas State University and will complete my degree in the Fall of 2019. As basic techniques are acquired and musical concepts are grasped, I tailor the lesson to what the students long term goals are. Jesse began playing guitar at the age of 12 in his home town of Silver City, New Mexico after hearing Metallica for the first time and thinking "I wanna do that!" Deeply inspired by the do-it-yourself ethic of early 'Nineties bands such as Nirvana and others who were part of the increasingly popular grunge and rock scenes, Jesse picked up the electric guitar and began teaching himself to play.
