My teaching experience dates back to when I was in high school, when I began teaching beginning students of all instruments 10 years ago. I have been consistently teaching students in their homes, my home, and online for the past 5 years. Ive found that introducing students to as many different styles of music as possible goes a long way in helping students enjoy playing their instrument and listening to recordings of their instrument. My teaching method is different depending on the abilities of each student. For beginning students, I use the Haskell W. Harr Drum Method Books 1 2, Stick Control by George Lawrence Stone, and The All-American Drummer 150 Rudimental Swing solos by Charley Wilcoxin. Once I feel like a student is strong enough on the snare drum, I will then work with them on developing limb independence on the drum set. All of the snare drum method books that I use with my students will eventually be adapted for drum set. Read More

We learn the music you want to learn when you study with me! The very first lesson I ask the student what he or she is inspired by. We then work towards those songs, in a step by step gradual process. Along the way fundamentals about rhythm, the musical alphabet and theory are taught within the context of the song we are learnning. This makes the lessons moreenjoyable and relatableto the student's deisred outcomes. Read More

Throughout my career as a music professor, I was frequently tasked with this academic duty of instructing varied and distinct student groups. Additionally, I have performed as a musician and artist on tour in Colombia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay. Due to my established career as a teacher, I am compelled to organize teaching activities during my concert tours. Read More

I have taught private lessons with the guitar, piano, didgeridoo, ukulele. I usually try to find out where the student is at and their goals and try to build off of that giving them tools to keep them going and to inspire and create insight. Each lesson I give them a focal point like learning a scale and get them to focus different musical aspects such working on fingering, rhythm, tone, loudness or softness, phrasing. Read More

With trained ABA, we can achieve the ever-sought status of “cool”. It is a process of reciprocal musical involvement. I learn from the student, the student then teaches me. Each student is attended to equally with a specific lesson plan (materials provided by teacher). Inspiration and fun is crucial and without it would be a wasted lesson. I’m a nice person with empathy and a determination to keep the student focused and engaged with purpose. Read More
