I began teaching private lessons during college but I have always shown people how to play instruments my entire career. I have always had a knack for both learning music and teaching it. For beginners, on piano I def reccomend Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Also, "My Favorite Solo Album," by Max Eckstein. Once progression and consistency has been developed I always encourage my students to share what they have learned in to a recital performance. I always make sure to teach what the student is interested in no matter what their ability is because with practice and a good student mentality my tudents achieve their goals quicker than usual.
