I started teaching production to middle school students first, using my laptop, audio interface, and midi keyboard. In high school I won the MD Distinguished Scholarship in music performance, which allowed me to pursue a career in music performance. I attended UMBC and completed a music performance degree. Later I earned a degree in Music Education, and have been teaching in public school since 2003. Also, I have had experience teaching and studying music education under my high school mentor, renowned music teacher Tim Savage; I was his student-teacher for a semester course at St. Lawrence University. Once they have a grasp of fundementals, I will work with them in chord theory and improvesation. As a student progresses, I will focus more on their area of musical interest.
