I am passionate about music and enjoy sharing that passion with others. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and minor in Psychology. I am currently a full time music therapist at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, Main Campus. I love working as a music therapist, but I also enjoy teaching music lessons. I emphasize the importance of proper posture, technique, the ability to read music, and knowledge of the fretboard. Accordingly, I always assign students exercises meant to develop and strengthen a variety of aspects of both left-hand and right-hand technique. The pace at which we move through the exercises is dependent on the student's own level of motivation and how much practice they do. I have been teaching on and off since 2010 and now teach almost exclusively from my home studio in Bloomington, IN. I've had the experience of teaching everyone from 4 year olds to advanced adult students and implemented various teaching methods for the many different minds learning styles. Later, I began to teach from my home and eventually was offered a job in a music store. I've given thousands of lessons since I began teaching.
