I am a professional bassist and guitarist based in Los Angeles. I love to teach and share my knowledge and experience to help others who are eager to learn. I graduated in 2016 from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood with a Bachelors Degree in Bass performance. Since then, I've been playing shows, doing recording sessions, and teaching my own lessons as well as teaching in a few music schools. Most recently, I have toured in many countries playing Bass with Persian singer/artist Dariush Egbali. Read More

I have taught guitar for 25 plus years in a variety of settings, in students homes, private schools, studios, and colleges, I have also been teaching music production on Logic Pro X as well as Songwriting for the past 5 years. I like to make lessons fun and I focus on practicing technique and building chord vocabulary through learning songs with less focus on boring exercises and theory; unless of course the student is interested in that. I tend to use standard materials, especially for beginning players. But I will also mix in exercises and techniques tailored specifically to the students needs. It is good to learn from books, but also important to vet information that is not necessarily needed or already soundly in their techniques. Every musician is unique and they have their own way about learning and progressing. For more advanced students, learning as much repertoire as possible will be stressed. Read More

All of my students receive personalized lesson plans and materials based on their interests, abilities, and goals. I usually draw from multiple sources including my own materials to make each lesson plan fit the student. It is important to me to balance material that builds techniques on the instrument with material that the student enjoys. Having to do boring exercises with no apparent application to what the player wants to ultimately accomplish is, in my opinion, the biggest mistake made in music education. Read More

I graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A) in may 2017. From 2013 to 2017, I was teaching theory, group guitar class, private lessons and guitar ensemble at UNLV. According to my experience as a teacher, flexibility and adaptation are two necessary skills in lessons/classes. Read More

I like seeing progress and appreciation in music, and to me that is student success. I enjoy helping students meet their individual goals, and I encourage them to work their hardest to achieve their best. I use humor to keep things engaging. I learn from my students what works most effectively for them as individuals. One of the things my students really enjoy are those certificates at the end of the method books. Read More
