I began teaching guitar in 2002 while still attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. That's when I found my true calling in life and I have now taught hundreds of students. Several of my former students have even gone on to obtain part-time and full-time music careers. I've also helped several of my students with college auditions so that they too can become musicians, like me. Music is a way of life for me and I can't think of anything more rewarding. Read More

I first focus on the guitar level the student is at. From then on I can make a customized lesson for each student covering basic concepts such as tablature reading, understanding of the fret board, open cords, power chords, right and left hand positioning, picking techniques, and the minor pentatonic scale. I teach mostly blues, rock and heavy metal but I can teach other genres as well if you are into acoustic more calm guitar playing I love that as well. Read More

I am motivated to help beginners get started in learning guitar as music is a longtime hobby of mine since the age of 14, and now I'm 23. My mother is a singer with a great voice, and her mother was a vocalist as well who sang opera in Germany. So I inherited that gift, which I had to foster over the years. Anyone could sing as a hobby but I made it a point to sound as close to my favorite artists as possible, through trial and error. Read More

My first year as a guitar teacher was back in 2003. Even though I was relatively young to teach, I had my own students coming in my newly created studio in Athens and I was sharing my enthusiasm with them as I was watching them being developed into experienced guitarists. I always loved Rock and Blues and, even though I received many lessons from amazing Jazz guitarists, I couldn't help but focus on these two styles. Read More

As almost any instructor will tell you, the methods I use depend largely on the student and their abilities. Younger students usually benefit from learning to read music and a beginning method book is usually helpful. I strongly believe that ear training is the key to musicianship so I use the material we cover in lessons to help students develop good aural perception. I know that understanding music theory is crucial for communicating with other musicians. Read More

Since the age of 9, I've been learning and performing with a guitar. First it was recitals among my fellow peers at my local Music school. After gaining enough proficiency, I started playing in a multitude of bands as a teenager, playing various local venues around South Florida. My love of music comes from the personal fulfillment attained when creating original compositions. Learning to play songs that are enjoyable is great, but the best part of music comes from the ability to be able to invent and create something new. Read More

I always like to know what is the goal of each of my students. What style or genre they like as well as if they are aiming to be a solo performer or part of a band or ensemble. I like to start students on method books such as Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, this will teach students basic music theory as well as how to read on a staff. If also like contemporary music, I will teach them how to read chords letters, so to play styles such as jazz, pop, rock and contemporary gospel music. Read More
