Students should have fun!!! Learning how to improvise and create your own music is a skill every child can learn. I create play-along videos so that you can practice at home... I present information in an educational and entertaining way for a living. A high achiever from a young age, I performed in Carnegie Hall at age 19, and was professor at two Universities by age 22. I've studied privately with the head of both Julliard's and Yale's guitar departments. Read More

I began teaching music in high school, a friend coworker had a son that wanted to learn trumpet and it was a fun way to make money. As I continued into college, I learned that I was able to give lessons to members of the band or choir as an employee to the Adrian College Academic Services Department and I was happy to do so. In addition to Adrian College students, I also gave lessons to local high schoolers (mostly tuba players) and many where featured and scored well in state Solo and Ensemble exhibitions. Read More

Since then I've been trying my hand at different musical endeavors such as playing in bands, writing my own music, composing for indie games as well as doing covers of my favorite old video game songs. I am a pianist, composer, and pre-service Music Educator from Flint, MI. I have played piano and trumpet for 11 years, and am currently in my senior year of getting my BME from The University of Michigan-Flint. Piano, composition, and teaching are my passions, and I have performed extensively throughout the mid-Michigan area, including on the Whiting stage, as a live musician for Michigan Radio's Stateside, as well as conducting several of my own compositions with various ensembles at the Flint School of Performing Arts. For beginner Piano / Keyboard Students, I use the Bastien Books. They are simple to understand and get the Student through the first few stages of Right Hand Left Hand coordination and positions. I have several different books for Saxophone Students that feature technique, solo repertoire and duets. Depending on whether the student is a child, a teenager or an adult, I choose either a Daisy Guitar Book, Hal Leonard books, or the Berkeley School of Music for Guitarists. Read More
