I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. and Psychology and went in to the education field 7 years ago. The best way to teach is to teach yourself all over again. I love to set realistic goals, while giving them a harder piece to juxtapose their progress. I never pressure them or bog them down with too much. Acknowledging their progress is always a great way to motivate them.
