I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to learning an instrument. I utilize a variety of different methods for the variety of instruments I teach (guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, voice). I like to meet with my students and get an idea of the pace in which the learn and how much effort they want to put in. Along with working on music the student wants to learn, I have a wide variety of books as well as my own handouts prepared for my students. Read More

With the small devotion of 30 minutes a day to your practicing, I can make a novice player become a good guitarist, and a good guitarist into a great player. For beginning pre-teen students, I most often begin with the Alfred Auberge method. For those who can already read music or have played another instrument, the Mel Bay method is a good start. For adults, I often use the Frederick Noad books Segovia Diatonic scales and Giuliani arpeggios. Read More

Slowly but surely, however, I added more and more students to my roster and was able to phase out the grocery store job, and today I teach guitar full time! There are three main components I look for in a student: passion, potential, and diligence. If a student has the passion for music, the potential to get better, and the diligence to put in the time and work, the sky is the limit! Read More

I have been teaching the guitar for over 5 years with students ranging in age from 3 to 40+. The majority of my lessons have taken place in the students' homes, but I am fully equipped to provide high quality lessons over Skype and FaceTime. I've had a high level of success with my teaching method, motivating students to progress at a rapid pace while enjoying the process. I am always striving to improve and expand upon my teaching methods and encourage feedback from students. Read More

I'm a dedicated and seasoned music professional with over a decade of road experience performing all over the US and Canada, and two decades of teaching experience. I have opened for top international touring acts throughout the 2000s, and worked with a who's who of NYC avant-garde musicians in the 2010s. In my time I played every small club, VFW hall, dive bar, and festival from Montreal to South Carolina and from New York to the Rockies, as well as some of the most historic music venues of the United States.
