My passion and dedication for teaching led me to design a highly successful personal method, which both the beginning learner and those with a more advanced level will discover in my own notes, the answer to what will lead them to develop and grow artistically with the guitar. I also use methods and books from Hal leonard, Mel Bay and Alfred publications, as part of the contents if necessary for the development of the lessons. Read More

The best award for the teacher is seeing his student develops his own talent. And I'm sure that every one is talented and the only question is how it talent will be enriched and developed. I encourage my student being their true self in performing, feeding from traditional and modern sources but keeping his own unique voice or playing style, accomplishing his personal goals, without comparing his own dynamics and results with other people, but working on becoming better than himself every day of learning. For beginning students, I usually like to start off teaching basic guitar fundamentals. We would go over guitar methods such as fingerstyle exercises, left hand exercises, chords, and basic sight-reading. After the student has considerably grasped basic fundamentals, I would start introducing repertoire appropriate for their reading level. For more advanced students, we would work on more advanced musical concepts such as phrasing, articulation, and tone control. I also try to keep my lessons relaxed and comfortable. Read More

I am new to teaching but I have worked as an organizer and choir leader in my high school and college, giving me the experience I need to have an organized curriculum for new students that is interesting and actually impactful. I aim to teach younger beginner guitarists how to best pick up the instrument and learn by playing the songs that they actually like! Breaking them down so they understand the music, but also feel like they're learning the necessary skills to pick up and play any song they want in the future and perform confidently. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Piano or Guitar Lessons for the Young Beginner by Andrew Scott and Gary Turner. The student, even at a young age, learns an introduction to music theory. Each concept is taught in a very methodical and step-by-step approach. As a teacher, I am looking to prepare students for ongoing learning for years to come. The language of music can be very confusing and I am looking for ways to minimize those perplexing times. I'm a passionate instructor who loves sharing my knowledge with others. I recently obtained my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the California State University of Los Angeles. I have been training professionally as a guitarist for seven years. I have mostly performed classical guitar, but I have also been able to perform other genres while applying my classical guitar knowledge. I recently performed with my college's guitar ensemble in Armenia, and I have also had solo performances during my time in college. Read More

I attended CSUF for jazz guitar studies. I am very fluent in big band, swing, rock, funk, combo jazz and many other styles. I also have a lot of experience with being in a pit orchestra, playing for musicals. I have a great working knowledge of what it's like to be in a rock band and how to configure pedalboards. I teach tablature of reading music, both of which have their advantages. Read More
