I am a professional musician, educator and session bassist, currently residing in Los Angeles. Formerly self-taught, I received my education at Musicians Institute, where I graduated as Most Outstanding Student of the year 1998. Since then I have been playing, teaching and recording internationally and locally with a wide range of artists, covering nearly every style of contemporary music, from jazz/fusion to rock/metal. I recently released two solo albums with classical music adapted for the bass guitar. Read More

My music is an explorative collage of rhythm and harmony that incites emotion, creating a wild and memorable experience for listeners. I source inspiration from an array of influences, ranging from Miles Davis, to The Beatles. My musical pieces are born during a 3–4 hour session at the piano, and refined through excessive scribbling, and endless rehearsing. In the past year, I have expanded my professional development to work as an educator, and a scholar of music. Read More

When I moved to Los Angeles for school in 2013, I began teaching drum and guitar lessons in my free time, to fellow UCLA students at first, then expanding to the greater Los Angeles community, teaching students as young as six. I believe that choosing lesson material should always be a collaborative experience between student and teacher. Flexibility is one of my core values in teaching music, as I’ve found that each student has unique interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses. Rather than going into lessons with a set curriculum, I like to give students some agency over what they’d like to learn while making sure to cover fundamentals as they apply along the way. Read More

For me seeing one of my students develop a passion for music is such areward! It is very important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I am constantly encouraging students to practice as slow as they need to. This eables students to have realistic goals each week that can be attained. It is important to take the time to acknowledge students and their accomplishments. This helps keep the learning fun and energetic. Read More

This happens differently for everyone. I believe the most important aspect in teaching music is to communicate universal concepts with language that suits the individual. From a playing standpoint, i think it is important that each student is studying what they find interesting in order to keep them excited and looking forward to lessons and practice. I do my best to cater to the individual and nurture their growing interest in music Read More

I would implement my own style of teaching , where I will try to keep the class as fun as possible, try to inspire them to learn guitar with passion and interest. Also, I want to share my knowledge to the best of my abilities, and teach them in a right direction to achieve their goals.
