I graduated from the University of Connnecticut, Storrs, with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education in 1972, and a Master of Music degree, with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy in 1980. As an undergraduate my major instruments were piano and trombone. I was in the UConn Marching Band and had the great fortune to perform on my trombone in Europe during the 1970 Marching Band Tour. Imagine being on the 50th floor of the Prudential Tower in Boston and having a secret closet of instruments! We had keys, bass, 3 guitars, and a drum set. Then, I will teach them the songs they want to learn, as well as any techniques they are curious about.
