For beginning students I start with Bastian Piano series. It has 4 books including piano, performance, technique and theory, which helps the student to have a full comprehension of piano playing. I will test students and then select a level to start. Once they complete the highest level, I will introduce solo repertoires and Hanon and Carl Czerny to enhence their skills. During my undergraduate years, I had the privilege to tour in Asia (Hong Kong and Korea) with other string performance majors. My major teachers were Dr. Sarita Kwok and Dr. Susan Kim. I went on to pursue a Master of Music (M.M.) degree in violin performance at Ohio University from 2018-2020, where I have received a full ride graduate assistantship and was a violinist in the Klinder Graduate Quartet. For middle school aged through adult students, I use either Progressive Steps to Syncopation by Ted Reed or Standard Snare Drum Method by Benjamin Podemski.
