My passion for working with students started in high school. I was a long time counselor at my high school's summer day camp and acted as a leader to a group of kids from 2nd grade to 4th grade. In college that passion, combined with my passion for music, led me to major in music education. I gained international recognition as a vocal performer of note, having performed on the stages of Acapulco, Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore, Aruba, Curacao and Buenos Aires, to name a few, as well as major U. S. cities. For my beginning students i will start them off with the Rubank series of books for beginners. This will teach them basic tone and basic technique. After that I will continue to using the Rubank series for intermediate and advance volume 1. After that I will switch to the Hite Etude books Volume 1 and 2 these book will go into more depth with the tone and the technique. After that depending on how well the student response to the books I will then introduce solo repertoire appropriate for the their first recital performance. Read More
