I have performed all across the state of Pennsylvania, in Connecticut, New York, Delaware, and as far away as Italy. I have been teaching since I was 18 towards the end of High School. I taught lessons part time through college and since graduating college have maintained a steady roster of students. I focus on getting to know and understand each student and their goals to customize lesson plans for that individual, all while covering the essential and important fundamentals. In each flute lesson, I typically begin with a bow as respect for myself and the student. We typically start with tonalization warmup from Suzuki Book 1. The student listens and produces the best sound they can make after listening to me. My goal as a teacher is to help them become their own teacher and evaluate the things they can improve upon. I have sang all of my life, which is important to being a musician. This helps to develop a musical ear. I have played trumpet since the 4th grade and I played throughout high school, college up to today. I sang and played in multiple ensembles throughout my schooling career.
