I am a former member of Simn Bolvar Symphony Orchestra and teacher within the National System of Orchestras and Youth and Childrens Choirs of Venezuela (El Sistema) for more than 15 years. I was always able to sing. I started piano in the 5th grade. I played trumpet in high school and made all state band 3 years in a row. I attended college at Houston Baptist University where I received a full scholarship to study music. Once I graduated I was immediately hired to do a national tour which was followed by 5 others. It was a great honor. Late into highschool I was accepted at the DCI CADETS for 3rd trumpet part. This is the second best drum corp (at the time) in the world out of over a dozen different division 1 corps. I unfortunately was not able to perform with them, however it was a great honor just being able to be accepted and to practice with them for 4 months in New Jersey. Read More
