As a freelance performer, I have presented solo recitals throughout Illinois and can frequently be found woodwind doubling in musical theater pits around Chicago. Ive been playing Guitar and Singing since I was 9 years old. Almost all of this was self-taught until I attended Columbia for Music theory and Composition after high school. There, I was ranked the top rated guitarist on fret-board jury for two semesters in a row, I was an examplary student and began my journey towards becoming and an accomplished pianist. I typically start beginners with the Teaching Little Fingers to play books. After going through the books at whatever rate the student needs to retain information, I will move on to solo repertoire pieces that align with the students' interests and tastes. I remember my piano teacher when I was a child bringing over several books for me to choose from, and it was the most exciting thing. I do the same with my students, so that the learning stays fun and students get to reap the rewards of their hard work throughout the process. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching a college level choir for 3 years, and have continued my teaching with intensive Vocal Pedagogy training during and after my graduate studies at North Park University.
