I find teaching very rewarding and love to help students learn t love the flute and music. I try to teach music theory as well as flute technique and encourage music appreciation. Challenging h student with new material each lesson and trying to find out what inspires the student helps to keep lessons challenging and interesting. My lessons are usually 30 minutes long for beginners. On top of learning from a piano series, I like to incorporate songs and styles that the student is insterested in learning. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! I tailor things to each students age, level and goals. I think anyone is able to learn an instrument and understand that we each learn and approach things differently. Some students are more oral or visual learners.
