Steve is originally from the Binghamton, NY area and began studying drums at the age of 12 with local jazz musician Tony Monforte. He participated in the All State Orchestra and was placed on the Pro-Mark Honor Roll for young, up-and-coming drummers. Steve received a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY where he studied with Gordon Stout, Steve Brown, and Robert Bridge. He was selected to participate in the Henry Mancini Institute where he worked with some of the leading jazz, film, and classical musicians and composers from around the world including Terence Blanchard, Bud Shank, Christian McBride, and Jerry Goldsmith. I have preformed and recorded with many different bands of many different styles of music throughout my musical career. In the past six years, I have taught privately at the School of Rock in Downingtown and Guitar center in Lancaster. I have also done some group lessons with a Lancaster based nonprofit called Music For Everyone. I try to challenge my students every week with sight reading and ear training methods. Besides from drum set, I have access to congas, djembe's, marimbas, vibraphones and many other percussion instruments, so my students can grow not just as a drum set player, but as a percussionist as well. Hello! I was originally trained as a classical cellist, but I fell in love with the ukulele when I was in high school. In college at Loyola Maryland, I was the president and founder of the ukulele club which was featured on the Today Show with Al Roker in 2017. I perform with my ukulele when I can at coffee houses and events. I sang in choirs and a-cappella during college but when I sing or perform alone I always use my uke. Read More

A native Washingtonian, tenor saxophonist Brian graduated from the prestigious Duke Ellington School of The Arts, a product of master teacher and musician Davey Yarborough. He earned his BFA from The New School University in New York City, studying under Arnie Lawrence, Steve Neil, Charles Davis, Reggie Workman and Chico Hamilton. In 2008 Brian completed a Master of Music (MM) degree from Howard University where he was a graduate teaching assistant and student of saxophone virtuoso, Charlie Young. Among others, Brian has performed with Curtis Fuller, Gil Scott-Heron, Shirley Horn, Stanley Turrentine, Stanley Clarke, Mickey Roker, Butch Warren, Freddie Redd, Tom Abbs & Frequency Response and currently plays with Tomas Fujiwara and the Hookup.
