There is no need to over-exhaust them with tasks but I do encourage individual growth and development by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I taught there about two years and I am proud to say that two of my students followed the music career, and one of them is getting graduate at Sao Paulo University in music education. My passion for working with students started in high school. I was a long time counselor at my high school's summer day camp and acted as a leader to a group of kids from 2nd grade to 4th grade. In college that passion, combined with my passion for music, led me to major in music education. Then we work on pieces of music and incorporating theory, and playing musically. It is important as a teacher to set realistic goals for my students, acknowledge their accomplishments and to find out what inspires them.
