Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Euphonium French Horn Tuba
Every student requires a uniquely tailored teaching style, but also they possess a unique set of strengths and "weaknesses" that will be addressed. I do not believe in the "cookie-cutter" approach to teaching. I believe that fundamentals (scales, tuning exercises, lip slurs, technical excecises) are important as these are the key to unlocking the instrument as a means of self-expression, by eliminitating the infamilarity and oddness of the trombone. That being said, I believe that technique should be approached in the most musical way possible, and I strive to teach technique through actual music. My teachers, as were most successful brass players, were influenced by the legendary tubist of the Chicago Symphony, Arnold Jacobs. Read More

Music has always felt right whenever I perform. I decided in high school to be a music major after participating in many honor festivals. I have leaned a numerous amount of knowledge from my clarinet teachers in the past few years and know that there is always something else to learn. I have dedicate time to a local high school by working with their clarinets as well as coaching small ensembles. Read More

I love teaching and, as your teacher, I don't need anything from you other than an open mind. I don't need you to prove yourself to me at all, and I want you to improve for yourself. I'm here as a resource to help you achieve your goals, whatever they are. If I do my job well, every student becomes their own teacher, developing a critical ear and knowing how to fix their own problems when they arise. Read More

I like to balance structure with fun! This balance is very important when teaching any student a new instrument. Too much discipline and not enough fun and creativity could result in the student feeling stressed out or unmotivated. On the other hand, not enough discipline will make it difficult for the student to progress efficiently. I work with the student at their own pace and set realistic goals for them at each lesson. Hello, Ive been teaching in Broward County since 2001. I have my BA and MA from FAU where I studied piano with Judith Burganger and voice with Susan Dorchin. Before that I studied piano with Harold Brown. Ive been trained in the area of performance and that is my specialty. However I also had overcome a medical issue using music so I am also quite proficient in music as medicine. I also have taught a wide range of students from the severely autistic to the classically trained performer. Read More

I first focus on the guitar level the student is at. From then on I can make a customized lesson for each student covering basic concepts such as tablature reading, understanding of the fret board, open cords, power chords, right and left hand positioning, picking techniques, and the minor pentatonic scale. I teach mostly blues, rock and heavy metal but I can teach other genres as well if you are into acoustic more calm guitar playing I love that as well. Read More
Instruments: Flute Piccolo
When meeting a new student I like to take the time to know about them. Such as their Hobbies, what kind of music they like, what attracts them to the flute , what kind of future career they are interested in taking and what they hope to achieve from taking lessons. From there I can cater my teaching style to fit their needs. Each student learns at a different pace and I want to set goals each week for us to achieve as a team that are realistic and do my best to motivate my students to work hard to achieve them. Read More
