My teaching experience started in the YMCA, my church worship band, with friends and friend's kids and evolved into private lessons with friends of friends via word of mouth. I encourage all students to explore and discover their own learning styles and I never use shame or comparison as a motivator. I have been teaching Orchestra with Albuquerque Public Schools for over 30 years and have been at Jimmy Carter Middle School for 20 years. Before that, I taught Orchestra at Grant and Kennedy Middle School. I do truly enjoy teaching all ages even though most of my experience is with Middle School children.
