As a drummer that has played in all kinds of styles and venues, I can teach any skill level from the first time picking up sticks to making good drummers great and great drummers legendary. I start beginners with the drum rudiments and chart reading. This gets them able to move their hands and feet for better coordination. After they have better coordination I introduce ear training which is playing along to their favorite songs. This teaches the student how toplay with a band. Different students have different levels of perception or assimilation. This i establish before i even start the introductory class proper. Then i go through the fundamentals with the student, and observe their progress along the way.
