My teaching experience dates back to my college days,as I began teaching private lessons 17 years ago,and have been consistently teaching students in my home or students home for the last 17 years.Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for students,as it tends to help the students progress and gain a passion for the instrument.I have also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the violin and motivate to practice and continue to learn. It is very important to see in each student personality. With their strengths and weaknesses. All lessons are conducted in a friendly and casual atmosphere.. I feel happy when I can help to understand a music, to grow up love for music in people's heart and can help to achieve goals in music for every student. Nothing could be more rewarding than see how your students develop passion for music and then can ignite a passion in others! Read More
Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Euphonium French Horn Tuba
Every student requires a uniquely tailored teaching style, but also they possess a unique set of strengths and "weaknesses" that will be addressed. I believe that fundamentals (scales, tuning exercises, lip slurs, technical excecises) are important as these are the key to unlocking the instrument as a means of self-expression, by eliminitating the infamilarity and oddness of the trombone. That being said, I believe that technique should be approached in the most musical way possible, and I strive to teach technique through actual music. My teachers, as were most successful brass players, were influenced by the legendary tubist of the Chicago Symphony, Arnold Jacobs. Read More
