Usually with a beginners for the first few lessons I start solfge and music theory and later continue introducing instrument. It is very important for woodwind players to learn from very beginning how to use air and embouchure right way. While I understand that each and every student is unique in their learning and progress, I will always strive to push my students forward and sometimes out of their comfort zones as to be better performers, better musicians, and better people.
