I like to use guitar books if at all possible for beginners because its a great place to start. I have studied at Berklee College of Music and am well versed in Genres such as Blues, Rock, Classical, Jazz, and have been performing professionally since 14. As every student has different needs I dont have a specific plan that I follow. Rather I like to adapt my lesson plans to each individual students goals and playing ability. I always have my students work on a mixture of technique, etudes, and solo repertoire. For very early beginners I like to work out of Trever Wyes Very First Flute Book and his Beginners Book for the Flute. I also like the book Forty Little Pieces in Progressive Order for Beginner Flutists and from there progress to First Solos for the Flute Player. Read More
