In my curriculum, students start off by learning the basics of the guitar. This includes understanding the various parts, accessories and so forth. Along with those basics we work on tuning and pitch so that the student is comfortable with all aspects.As we move on students  learn how to build and maintain a rhythm. Learning how to play chords is essential, and we begin to go through chord progressions, as well as how to recognize and memorize the various chords.I then show students how to read tabs and write music. I love using the Suzuki method for skill building, but I also believe that students should be musically literate! I utilize supplemental books, such as "I Can Read Music," Essential Elements, and other sight-reading materials to encourage note-reading from the get-go. All of my students, including those who are 4 years old read notes. I emphasize etudes (studies), scales, warm-ups, physical stretches, and favorite songs of my students as part of a balanced repertoire. Read More

I offer classes for adults and children according to the Seth Riggs and Brett Manning techniques, with the help of which the vocal apparatus and natural resonators are developed to the maximum. We study the theory for the vocalist, modern styles. We will practice a sense of rhythm, improvisation, work with a microphone. I work with picking, range, smooth transitions of registers, filling voice, vibration. I show a variety of vocal sounds and manners, helping to personalize the singing style. Read More

I ultimately hope that I can instill my students with a passion for music while ensuring they have fun! I stress the importance of regular practice in order for students to make weekly progress, and ultimately desire to help them develop their playing technique and theoretical knowledge while making room for them to explore their personal interests and enjoy playing their instrument. Since I have a broad array of musical interests, I am accordingly open to incorporating different aspects of musical study such as writing and recording into lessons as students progress, as I find the act of creating something of one's own to be an incredibly valuable part of making music.
