I have primarily been a church musician for the past 15 years, but have also played in drum and bugle corps, orchestra and concert style bands. My main instrument is the trumpet, having played for 35 years. I give lessons on all brass instruments, although trumpet is my primary. I can teach any style. I have played guitar for about 25 years and my primary focus is classical or accoustic. I recently graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Flute Performance from the University of Florida in Spring 2018. GO GATORS!!! I also have a minor in Disabilities in Society and took pre-nursing courses. I have decided to pursue a Music Therapy certification and Masters Degree in Music Therapy at Florida State University starting in Fall 2018. We toured much of the east coast and Europe. When I left the Marine Corps I put together a band that toured around the southeast. We even got invited to play the halftime show of the Hula Bowl college football game in Honolulu, Hawaii. I'm a passionate instructor who loves to share my love of music and discover all the possibilities that a student can have with the instrument. I graduated from the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory with a bachelor in trombone performance. Working as a trombonist with the Navy band Southeast, I'm constantly performing in different ceremonies and teaching masterclasses around the Southeast area of the US, including Puerto Rico. As a soloist and freelance musician I'm very active in the Jacksonville scene, not only playing classical music, but also latin music and popular music; with Symphony Orchestras and other small and large ensembles. My development as a guitarist took me from being an arrogant teen who "knows everything" to an undergraduate music major finding shortcomings in my playing every day, to finding new things to incorporate in my playing beyond the fret-board.
