I started playing piano at the age of 6 and have taken lessons progressively to advance my skills consistently. Once I ventured into music composition I attended numerous summer music camp workshops in Lubec, Main annually. After attending my first workshop there I completed and obtained a copyright for my first 2 original pieces - "Cruisin' with Chrome" and "Not a Care in the World". 5 more pieces will be submitted for a copyright request in late 2019. I typically start beginners with the Rubank method, as it contains a good balance of fundamentals, technical exercises, and fun, tuneful melodies. Particularly when working with children, I supplement this with my own devices, including flash cards and various learning games. I gradually incorporate solo material as appropriate. While I personally am primarily a classical musician, I make a point of including any style that is of special interest to the student in order to make music as enjoyable and relatable as possible.
