For all ages I like to begin with a skills test. Where they show me where they currently stand with their instrument. From there I refer to books by Trevor Wye to give students a strong fundamental basis in tone, technique, articulation, intonation/vibrato, and breathing/scales. From there the lessons would be tailored to where the student wants to go with their learning. Composition books would be kept to write down what students need to practice and to record their progress. Read More

I like to see myself as a learner. And loving learning experience is how I learned to teach. During my education, I was always fortunate to have good teachers. They always served as a good inspiration in my own teaching and as I went from the practice rooms to the stages they became my great idols. Very recently, right after I graduated from Temple University, I went in a series of recitals in Brazil, one of which was a big hommage to my first piano teacher. Read More

For all students we will begin with building the centerpiece of any musician, their tone. We will work on necessary fundamentals to build the students embouchure, as well develop the students technique and skills no matter the level. My saying is to be better than your yesterday. We will use many varieties of books, etudes, exerts, concert pieces, and methods, to ensure each student is being brought to a better level than they started. Read More
Instruments: Bass Guitar Double Bass
I earned my bachelors degree from Northwestern State University in music performance, and my masters degree in music performance from Louisiana State University. My education has culminated in an understanding of many musical styles from classical music and jazz in the double bass to funk, blues, and metal on the electric bass. All forms of musical expression are valid and should be explored! My teaching focuses on the foundations of music making, not simply learning songs on the bass. Read More

I believe that learning is incredibly individualized. Each student will have specific goals and ways of understanding instruction. Because of this, I believe that teaching should be just as individualized. I aim to teach each student in what ever way will best support them in their learning, rather than forcing all students to learn in one uniform way. I also believe in a holistic method of teaching, meaning we will focus on how singing feels in the entire body, rather than only focusing on the neck up. Read More
Instruments: Violin Viola
My teaching experience dates back to my high school years. There was always a shortage of viola teachers, and I was often asked to teach my classmates. After I graduated, I worked as a violin and viola instructor at my school for a few months before moving to the United States. I have been teaching private lessons for seven years to students of all ages. As an artist and instructor, I believe in the power of discipline and how it can shape our lives. Read More
Instruments: Cello
My teaching experience dates back to my university days, as I helped my friends and colleges to pass through disappointments and difficulties encountered frequently in practicing, with cello at their hand. To find joy in playing the cello, take it easy and be relaxed is a foundations of string performance. The lessons of cello art is place for joy and relaxation. I am insisting not fully on regular practice, which is important on all stages of playing, but on thorough and mindful practice each time when ones take the cello. With awareness to the smallest signals of the body.
