For students who are just beginning, I typically start with Alfreds Drum Method Book 1. Mostly for learning basic music notaion and theory. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I begin to introduce drum set music notation and theory from the Tommy Igoes Groove Essentials 1.0 book. For adult students we tend to work on whatever the the students interested in,and guide my lessons accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun ,no matter their skill level. Read More

I also happen to score in the top 1% of my SAT every time I took it. I have studied with several prominent musicians. Unfortunately they have all passed away at this time. I studied with Don Haas, Charles Gustavson, and Thomas Larada. I am also quite capable of helping students with their college work and helping them succeed in their classes as a tutor for that. I actually finished the final exam for theory in 20 minutes and scored a perfect score in 6 quarters of theory. Read More
