.I am passionate about music and the transforming power it has in people's lives. I have Suzuki teacher training in Flute Book one from East Tennesse University in 1996. I have my Masters in Education from Lehigh University. Currently I am the Music Specialist for Lehigh University's Child Care Center, and I direct the Youth Choir at St. Theresa Parish in Hellertown. Instead of scripting the direction of the students growth I help them to follow their own path by accentuating the qualities that make them special and removing technical roadblocks. My own education straddles many schools (rock, jazz, folk/bluegrass, classical, hip-hop, dance, experimental, funk, etc.), formal and informal. Students learn basic music material rhythmic awareness and basic reading during the first two years, while the fundamentals of music theory and form are stressed in years three and four. Students continue the work begun in the elementary coursework, including more advanced sight-reading. The repertoire is expanded to include longer selections.
