I grew up in a musical family and my father was the rhythm guitarist for Michael Jackson for up to 30 years.I recently moved back to Los Angeles after attending The Master's School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, where I began my study in composition and theory. After graduating from the Master's School I went on to graduate from Sarah Lawrence where I continued my theoretical and compositional studies. I try my best to keep lessons fun, especially with the younger students. For example, Sometimes we play music games, sometimes we walk/dance to learn about rhythm, sometimes we sing. I also have small group practices each month to combine students at about the same level, they play togher, they perform for each other, make constructive suggestions and encourage each other. I have been teaching for five years, first teaching middle school students at music summer camps in New Orleans like the New Jazz School.
