I set weekly goals for my students, and keep track of their progress in personal journals. Each student is different, and progress will vary from student to student. I have performed in musical theatre, operas, contemporary American plays, and Shakespeares classics. I also am an experienced educator, having taught middle school chorus and drama, directed student plays, coached students through New York State School Music Solo festivals, taught group singing to adult beginners, and worked with private students ages 11- older adults. I grew up singing in the children's choruses of The Metropolitan Opera and NYC Opera, dancing at The School of American Ballet in The Julliard School at Lincoln Center. I earned a college preparatory diploma from The Manhattan School of Music and went on to earn my BM and MM at Westminster Choir College (a world renowned choral conservatory in Princeton, NJ). After that I moved back to NYC where I maintained a wonderful studio of singers and some pianists for about five years. 6 years ago I moved out to New Haven where I have made my home. Read More

My training in piano started from when I was 5 years old. Since then, I continuously took piano lesson and have had performed on the stage as well. I continued my training in piano at the University of Hartford under David Westfall, Paul Rutman, Susan Cheng and Grace Smith. From Manhattan School of Music, I studied composition/theory with Richard Danielpour and Reiko Fueting, and piano with Lisa Yui.
