I began my teaching experience in the Bronx, where I created a music program in a very large public elementary school. In additon to a full schedule of general music classes, I directed over 200 assembly programs involving students from Kindergarten through 4th grade.  I also developed an after-school Chorus program, putting on Winter and Spring concerts, as well as several Broadway musicals.  In 2001 I transferred to Mount Vernon, where I was able to continue and expand my program, incorporating concert band and all-grade musical performances for students from Pre-K to 6th grade. She has competed on behalf of her former music studio, as well as state wide competitions in her home state Missouri. For younger students, I will be using Suzuki Cello School to guide instruction. When students have successfully completed the Suzuki books, I will introduce them to pieces that would be suitable for a recital performance. For adults, I will base instruction off of Suzuki but also find material that will keep the learning process fun and enjoyable. My teaching experience began in college when I start teaching my first voice students in 2017. I have taught voice lessons to beginners who need help matching pitch. I have taught voice lessons to college students with varying performance backgrounds! I constantly strive to provide my students with a safe space so that learning can be as easy and fun as possible. I believe that voice lessons need to focus on putting skills and techniques into context, so the majority of our lesson time will be spent on working repertoire while incorporating healthy vocal technique.
