Blake has performed as part of the Grammy Jazz Band, Jazz Band of America, Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, Iowa All-state Jazz Band, Iowa All-state Band, Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, The Symphony of Northern Arkansas and the Brubeck Jazz Colony. Blake recently graduated with his masters in trombone performance from the University of Arkansas where he served as a teaching assistant to the trombone studio. Ms. Jaime served as the Vocal Teaching Artist for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra where she conducted the 10th anniversary concert alongside the esteemed Marin Alsop. She also has served as voice faculty for studios across the country including the Athens Community Music School where she taught voice to non-majors for academic credit and at Sing Omaha Studios where she teaches voice and piano lessons to all levels of performers. For beginning and intermediate students, I offer my own rudiment book to start learning on a practice pad or snare drum. For learning drum set, I use a variety of books and resources. I will meet and discuss these options with each student to find the right book for them. For more advanced students, I have them transcribe entire songs from bands they enjoy. I create Spotify playlists for students so they can easily access a variety of styles of music. Read More
