I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Each student is provided a weekly practice journal. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. He placed third in the 2019 National Trumpet Competition Jazz Division and placed as a semifinalist in the small classical ensemble division. I performed at venues and festivals including Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, BBC Radio Foyle, Ulster Hall, Panama Jazz Festival, Rochester International Jazz Festival, and the San Jose Jazz Festival. As of December 2021, I am a graduate of the Master of Music program at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute on a full tuition scholarship under the direction of maestro Danilo Perez. Read More

Originally from Gainesville, Florida, I first learned piano, then added saxophone, clarinet, flute, and bass in my middle and high school years. I went on to receive a Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a Master's degree from the New England Conservatory in Boston. I grew up in a musical family and learned some piano early on from my father who played jazz. I took formal lessons through high school and studied classical guitar at Keene State College.
